Zambia Industrial Park moves towards a low-carbon future
In a strategic move to advance green and low-carbon development, CNBM’s SINOMA Energy and Mpande Limestone Limited, which is affiliated with CNBM’s Xinjiang Tianshan Cement, have joined forces to develop a green energy project at the CNBM Zambia Industrial Park.
The project will utilize a hybrid "waste heat and photovoltaic" power generation approach, effectively leveraging waste gas heat and solar energy resources. It is expected to generate approximately 11 million kWh of green electricity annually, which will fully cover the entire industrial park's electricity needs. This collaboration will not only address critical challenges such as unstable power supply and high energy costs but also supporting the region's sustainable development goals.
