Mr. Song Zhiping was Invited to Take Part in the CEO Annual Meeting of CSI

On December 12, Mr. Song Zhiping, president of CNBM, was invited by CSI to attend the 2016 CEO Annual Meeting of CSI in Madrid, Spain and shared his points of view on the sustainable development of cement industry based on enterprise practice.
The 2016 CEO Annual Meeting of CSI was co-chaired by the rotating presidencies including Fernando González, CEO of CEMEX, Eric Olsen, CEO of Lafarge Holcim and Albert Manifold, CEO of CRH. A heated discussion was taken and a consensus was also reached on such topics as the health and safety of cement industry and its effects on the environment, society and biodiversity, the 2017 action roadmap of CSI as well as CSI in China. Mr. Song Zhiping has introduced relevant circumstances after the mergence of CNBM and Sinoma to the CEOs of member enterprises of CSI, and put forward relevant comments and suggestions on the basis of meeting topics, which have been highly appreciated and positively responded by representatives present at the meeting due to his novel ideas and distinctive perspectives. Everyone agrees that as the largest cement enterprise around the world, CNBM will play an important and leading role in China's cement industry and even the international market in the future.
During the meeting, Mr. Song has also met with Albert Manifold, Eric Olsen, Fernando González, Mahendra Singhi, CEO of Dalmia Group, Peter Bakker, chairman of the World Business Council on Sustainable Development (WBCSD) as well as Philippe Fonta, the general director of CSI, discussed their views in depth on such contents of common concern as the problems encountered in the development course of the world's cement industry and its future prospects, and exchanged their opinions.
