Lately, www.fortune.com published a report indicating that emerging enterprises will improve the environmental friendliness of people’s life. The report introduced how Barcelona Housing System Company cooperates with CNBM in new-type house business.
Barcelona Housing System Company and CNBM have begun to jointly build 8,000 green houses in the UK. When interviewed, Kaiser Matinar, a 58-year-old Spain entrepreneur, said: “while everyone is discussing green buildings, nobody know how to construct a green building”. Matinar’s grandfather founded the family firm in Barcelona in 1916. About 10 years ago, Matinar began to make an attempt on combining green solutions with economically affordable housing plans. His dream hadn’t come true until the partnership was established with CNBM lately.
His secret is to construct pre-designed four-storey buildings equipped with solar panels on compact parcels. In the process, no waste was produced, and no water or cement is required. Barcelona Housing System Company is cooperating with governments of different countries, and studying house design in Chile, Ecuador, the UK and Croatia.
This year is important for Barcelona Housing System Company. The company is implementing the 1st batch of major projects, and has launched the large-scale cooperation with CNBM, the giant of the China’s building material industry. As said by Matinar, with emergence of the off-grid green building, the energy supply to which fully depends on green energy and storage batteries, a significant opportunity will be made available to the new-type house undertakings in the future.
CNBM is the China’s largest comprehensive building material group, and has been included in the Fortune Global Top 500. In recent years, the group has actively promoted transformation and upgrade in the building materials industry, and explored the way for “going global” around the Belt and Road Initiative. In addition to vigorously developing EPC service and investment in overseas cement and glass industries, the group devotes major efforts to promote new-type houses and green towns, and cooperates with global well-known building companies to build top-ranking green residential communities.
The Copiapo new-type house project (Chile), which was implemented jointly by Barcelona Housing System Company and CNBM, is the Chile’s first “new housing + new energy” residence with light steel structure. With the characteristics of seismic resistance, environmental friendliness, energy conservation and comfort, it is very suitable for Chile and the other countries with many seismic belts. As an important milestone in the process that the CNBM’s new-type house segment promotes the “green town” strategy all over the world, the successful implementation of the project significantly improved the influence of the group in the South America’s market, and laid a firm foundation for further expanding the international new-type house market.
