Ugandan Ambassador Leads Delegation to Visit CNBM
On April 1, Ugandan ambassador to China Madibo Charles Wagidoso led a delegation to visit China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM). Wei Feng, president assistant of CNBM and general manager of the Department of International Cooperation of CNBM, received the delegation. The two sides exchanged ideas on cooperation in fields such as cement, glass and new housing, and reached consensuses.
Wei firstly introduced CNBM's development achievements in recent years to the ambassador with a focus on CNBM's import and export trade and project contracting abroad, especially in Africa, elaborated on the advantage and development potential of CNBM's new housing business, and hoped to accelerate CNBM's investment and cooperation in Uganda through the exchange, thus making a positive contribution to local economic and social development.
The ambassador congratulated CNBM on its achievements. He said Central African countries like Uganda urgently need CNBM to participate in their projects of cement and glass, etc., and these countries have robust demand for new housing. He pledged that Uganda would spare no efforts to support CNBM in conducting operations in Uganda and relevant government departments would continue cementing connection and exchange with CNBM and carry out substantial cooperation as early as possible.
In the afternoon, the ambassador visited the model houses and production workshops of new housing in Miyun. Relevant persons in charge of CNBM International Engineering Co., Ltd. and INTECH Building Co., Ltd. participated in the meeting and the visit.
