On March 5, Shanghai Triumph Energy Conservation Engineering Co., Ltd. inked a deal with Oyak Group, Turkey on Bolu cement cogeneration project. The deal came after Aslan cement cogeneration project signed by the two companies on March 1. The signing of the two projects not only marked the beginning of Shanghai Triumph-Oyak cooperation, but also boosted the effort of China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM) to implement the strategy of "going out" and further develop the Turkish market.
Founded in 1961, with 50 subsidiaries and some 29,000 employees, Oyak is a general group that engages in industry, finance and service and plays a leading role in Turkey's iron & steel and cement industries. Located in Istanbul and Bolu respectively, Aslan and Bolu projects have a respective cogeneration capacity of 7.5MW and 7MW, and are scheduled to come on stream in August 2014. With the aim of reducing costs, increasing benefits and sharpening market competitiveness, after completion, the two projects will become Oyak's model in energy conservation and emission reduction upgrading and transformation.
