Mizu Cement Plant in Brazil Put into Operation

On May 25, a ceremony was held to celebrate that Brazil Mare Cimento Cement Plant production line with daily production of 3,000 tons of clinker as an EP Project of Hefei Cement Research & Design Institute was to be put into production. The cement plant is located in Barauna City, Natal State in Northern Brazil. Ma Jianguo, Vice President of China National Building Materials Group Corporation (CNBM), Chen Zhangshui, Vice President of Hefei Cement Research & Design Institute (HCRDI), and Huang Zhiyuan as the project manager attended the celebration ceremony.
The project was jointly undertaken by HCRDI and Inner Mongolia Northern Heavy Industries Group Co., Ltd. (NHI). HCRDI was responsible for engineering design and technical services while providing most machinery equipment and all electrical automation equipment. It is the first time for HCRDI to undertake a complete cement plant EP Project in South America. With the joint efforts of the project team and the owners, the project hit a record short construction period among cement plants in Brazil.
On the celebration ceremony, General Manager Mr. Robert of Brazilian Mare Cimento Company as the owner representative sang highly of the HCRDI & NHI project teams, as well as the design level, technical service quality, raw material vertical mill, kiln hoist, pre- decomposition system performance of HCRDI by citing the project as “a milestone”.
After the celebration ceremony, the two sides said that they would take the successful cooperation in Mizu cement plant as an opportunity to further display their respective advantages and continue to conduct cooperation in wider areas.
